Double date ideas?

Asked by blueberry_kid (5957points) May 5th, 2014

So I found out the my good friend’s boyfriend is best friends with my boyfriend. As soon as she told me my first idea was a double date, but I’m not sure what to do.

Maybe I’m just clueless or still have the mind of a 6 year old, but I don’t know any fun things to do on a double date, considering it’ll be my first.

Any ideas?

If there’s a working, old drive-in movie theater near you, try a Double Feature.

How about cooking a meal together? That can be fun if at least one of you knows what they are doing.

Not knowing your age I am unable to offer up ideas.

Can’t a lot to the list above. Pick a couple according to the weather and your interests and propose it. Of make a couple of proposals and let the group decide.

Right now I vote picnic and miniature golf or @Blondesjon‘s pizza and a movie. It’s just a trial run. If it works you can worry more about what to do next time.

Bowling, Minor League baseball game, rent paddle boats, pack a picnic go see the spring flowers at a local arboretum, fly kites, go to the zoo.

Bowling for sure.

Another vote for bowling. And you with her boyfriend against her and your boyfriend. And dinner beforehand.

I did that on a double date a few years back even though we were all in our late forties. It was still a lot of fun.

Ahem…Aurora 2012, initial reports stating the movie playing during the shooting was Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead, proved unfounded…according to our sources.
