Should I worry about Weevils in my apartment?

My landlord said that they are harmless. They are worms with white and brown stripes. Should I worry? they stick to one corner of the apartment . They leave me alone and I leave them alone. They eat fabric and they attach to my socks if I take them off at night and if they fall on the floor.
