Should I adjust my storm door?

I finally got my storm door installed. I’m so excited! It’s kind of fancy. It’s glass, and the upper portion slides down and reveals a screen. Jellies helped me decide to get this door, rather than a typical screen door, and I’m very happy with the decision.
Here’s the thing. The installer had me but an extra part (just a few dollars) that makes it fit just perfectly. It’s so perfect, air gets trapped between the door and the storm door and it makes it a little difficult to close. The door (whichever is ajar last) needs an extra push to make it catch and shut well.
Do you think there is any problem with needing the push? Should there be a mini bit of space for air to escape?
