April 6 is a day to celebrate our Scottish-Americans. One of the few things I like that happened during the Bush years was officially making April 6 Tartan Day.
Where I live they had a celebration at a town square. Our hometown bagpipe band marched and played and did their thing. The Scottish-American club had a table set up to help you trace your ancestry if you have some Scottish in you. They also had a band that I think might have been more Irish than not, I wouldn’t know the difference, and a girl who did what looked to me Irish Dancing.
It was fun.
