Is Bitcoin a horrible Christmas present?

Some backstory here. I hate cryptocurrencies. However a few years ago I saw something about a new one called Stellar and to get you into it they would give you some for just providing a email and password. I thought .. Fuck it. Maybe someday it will be worth something.

I signed up and thought nothing more of it until today.

Then I saw it was up 40%. Up 40% to 17 cents. I had no idea how many coins I actually had. I figured it was something like 3. So I checked. It was actually 6000.

I converted to bitcoin right away. So now I have like 1K(USD) in Bitcoin. I was thinking of making wallets for my sister and her kids and plopping about 100 in each so they would have some. There isn’t really anything they could do with them. But they might have fun watching it go up and down.

Shit gift or cool?

My sister has mentioned Bitcoin before so she knows the concept.
