People on Medicare (or about to be) - can you give me suggestions?

I’m closing in on the big 65… been doing some research on my options. I ask for your advice based on your experience.

Either respond here or as a Fluther message.

1) I’m pretty much decided on a Supplemental plan, not an Advantage plan. Seems more cost effective. What did you choose?

2) I’m looking at Plan G (since they are phasing out plan F). Seems most comprehensive for the costs involved. Again what’s your advice?

3) I have estimates for Supplemental from the three big ones in the field: Blue Cross/Anthem, Mutual of Omaha, and AARP/United Health. Their monthly costs are all within a dollar or two from each other (not surprising). Have you had particularly good service from any of them? Have you had particularly bad service when you have needed help?

4) Who you do recommend for Part D Drug benefit? I’m looking at SilverScripts (which is part of CVS), but there are others. What else should I look at?
