Why do religious people go to casinos and gamble?

If you’re seriously religious, you believe that god created all and knows all; that everything happens according to god’s plan.

Then why gamble in a casino? You’re not really playing a game of chance – god has already predetermined the outcome of the dice throw, or the spin of the roulette wheel, or the poker hands that you and your other players were dealt.

How do religious people reconcile the predeterministic powers of god to gambling?
