How long does it take the IRS to cash my tax payment check?

I mailed my state and federal tax return on Monday, April 18, late in the afternoon, before the deadline.
The state of Georgia presented it to the bank Tuesday afternoon and the payment came out of checking that night. The Feds haven’t processed the check yet, and there is money sitting in my bank account to cover that.
