It’s very common for US presidents and other political leaders to say, “…may God Bless the United States of America.”
Years ago my Mexican SIL commented on it. She thought it was so nice. In her country politicians couldn’t mix church and state like that. Ironically, Mexico is a very Catholic country, and ranks fairly high on the importance of religion in the country.
