I can no longer post questions or answers when I use Firefox and am using IE to ask this one. Does anyone else know why I can no longer Fluther in Firefox?

Asked by Michale (184points) March 25th, 2009

I even had the Fluther toolbar (WebMynd) installed. Suddenly I just cant post anything unless I open Fluther in an IE Tab.

I had the same problem recently. Check out this thread.

I’m using Firefox. I’m not having any problems.

@essieness I found that thread and I just cleared the private data. I’m going to open up Fluther again in Firefox to see what happens. I hate using IE, because of the security swiss cheese that it is.

Ok here I am again and the live preview is working so I guess that did the trick. Thanks!

Yes, you can also just clear the cache. On a mac, hold down the shift key while reloading the web page. That should do the trick as well. I’m not sure how to do that on a PC, but, if you can determine how to clear the cache there, that will fix the problem.

Earlier today I posted a question about a similar problem happening to me last night, and I followed my own advice from the last thread and it didn’t help. I had to quit. Next time I’ll try IE and report back.

PnL told me to just try cache (see the post sited above), but it NEVER worked for me. I had to delete all of Firefox’s options.

On a PC, clearing the cache is the F5 key.

@fireside – F5 just refreshes. On Windows, I believe it’s Ctrl+F5. Ctrl+Shift+R always works for me.
