What does 31/2 stars on Hotwire.com mean? I am going to be staying in the Houston Galleria area.

I am thinking of using Hotwire.com for the first time and I have the option of a boutique hotel rating 4 stars or a “regular” hotel rating 31/2. The price difference is $103 and $57 respectively, seems like a big difference for half a star.

I saw one person on Tripadvisor who said he got the Indigo Hotel through Hotwire, which I think would be considered boutique.
