Aside from your children, what wonderful things have happened in your life that you never would have anticipated when you were young?

It might be something that happened because of luck, or maybe you just didn’t realize the possibilities in the world when you were young.

Mine are:

- Living in Florida. I never would have guessed you can actually live where people pay to go on vacation. The warm weather and clear blue skies changed my life.

- Going to Michigan State University. I was completely against going to a big sports oriented party school, but I visited the campus, and loved it. Some of my happiest times were there.

- Having a happy marriage. I grew up thinking that all marriages are full of yelling, and all wives look forward to their husbands leaving town for a few days.
