Would it be wise for me to buy a Xbox360?
I use to own a Xbox360 along side my Wii and PS3, but it bricked on me AFTER the warranty expired. I could of tried to fix it myself, but one of the tabs to open it was stripped. Making it impossible to open and fix. So I said screw it, sold all my 360 games (Except Dead Rising. One of my favorite games. Shame I can’t play it,) became a Sony fanboy and basically gave up on the 360 system.
Now recently, I’ve been kind of thinking about it. I plan on getting a career in the video game industry. Regardless of what I specifically go into, it probably would be wise to have all three of the major systems. So the basic pros and cons are:
Pros:
-Whole new selection of games available to me.
-Career aid.
-I can buy any future exclusives that come out that catch my eye.
Cons:
-$300. Ouch.
-There are maybe only three or so game exclusive to the 360 that I’m really interested in at the moment. Everything else has a PS3 port.
-I remember reading back in August that the 360 has a 55% failure rate (red ring/brick.) I usually properly vent my machines, and I don’t know if that figure is false or outdated, but that number scares me.
Just curious what your opinions would be on the situation.
