Careers in philosopy and schools in Canada?

I want to learn about futuristic science (and maybe play a part in creating it) but i don’t have the prerequisites for physics or engineering..I do however have the ability to enter the philosophy of physics? Where in north America can one get a Philosophy of Physics degree and other than writing books what kind of employment can one hope to obtain? (please don’t say ‘Fry cook’)
