Are cheesy chat up lines dead in the water or alive & kicking?

Yes.Whether I’m complimented or uncomfortable depends on what what said and how they say it.Originality and specifics will get my attention more than a recital of typical BS.that gets a snicker,if anything

Dead in the water as far as I’m concerned.

That depends on the age and maturity level of the people involved. It also depends if the person who the line is to has a sense of humor and if the person saying the line is trying to be serious or comical. I haven’t had any lines used on me.

They will be alive and kicking as long as there are still stupid people walking around.

I don’t think I’ve had a cheesy line flung at me since my uni days. I’d laugh if I heard one now.

I still see advertisements for them everyday so somebody is buying into it.

I hope they are alive and kicking so I can continue to distinguish myself by not using them.
