What is the defintiion of a hero to you?

My hero is a stepfather who supported me and aided me at a time when I was struggling with addiction. He lived his life in service. His face was like a road map that was living proof of his struggle and he was always there for me. He loved my mother until the day he died of a long and exhausting battle with cancer. He truly had integrity and his humility was unparalleled.

Well I was going to answer this by saying I didnt have any hero’s in my life until I read SeventhSense’s answer and it got me to thinking. I have alot that I didnt even realize until now. I have a stepmom who stepped in to take the place of a mother who didnt want me and a Grandmother who did the same thing. I had a hard working Father who tried to do his best for us and I loved him So Much.
I just want to Thank you SeventhSense for your wonderful answer and for helping me to think about this and see that I really am Very Lucky to have had so many True Heros in my Life.

I can’t believe that more people have not answered this question. It says a lot when one can’t find someone they genuinely admire. Don’t people genuinely participate in a noble struggle anymore? I’m sure they do. There has to be someone who was an incredible example for any person whether it be personal or in society at large.
