Running a 32-bit program on Windows 7 64-bit, and what is the big difference?

I want to run Folderico on my PC, but it says it only currently supports 32-bit. I know you can change setting on the pc to accomadate it, but will it run just as well? What are the chances of it messing up. Also, what is the big difference between 32-bit and 64-bit anyway? Performance? Resolution? etc.
