What's your favorite combination of ingredients?

Or the best of all time?
Mine would have to be cheese and tomatoes, for making various dishes.

Generically, I’d say ‘leftovers’, as it’s fun finding ways of using them. Otherwise, butter, sugar, flour, eggs and any number of lovely extras to make cakes with.

Olive oil, pressed garlic, basil and a bit of chili pepper will make most any dish sing!

Sliced cucumber and Garlic & Wine Seasoning. You have to try it to believe it.

Diced onions , celery and bell peppers frying in oil with fresh garlic.
Cabbage, sliced, boiling in water with lots of butter, s&p.
A TV dinner and a recliner. (-;

To build texture and “depth”: onions and garlic
To add zing: asian garlic/red pepper paste and black pepper
To add some fatty flavor: bacon and cheese

My real answer: champagne and a crystal flute

@Aesthetic_Mess Hey, you were the one who asked for my favorite combination of ingredients.
I can think of nothing better. Of course it’s all in the presentation and setting. Putting them all in a blender simply would not work. But, after a shower and in candle light that combo can’t be beat.

Rice and beans. In particular, Mexican-style rice and pinto or black beans. Being the foundation of a burrito, the greatest food ever created, I love it quite a bit.
