I accidentally put my cellphone through the washing machine, hidden in my pants pocket. I have taken it apart and dried it all out. But it just statics at me when I try to use it.

Does anyone have any ideas about how I might resurrect my phone? Also, will my "chip" with all my phone numbers be okay? Also, what is that chip called?

Your "chip" is called your SIM chip. You could try

The little packets of dessicants that come in vit., aspirin, etc bottles also may be used. But I think your phone needs the ER. Glad that I am not the only idiot here. I do things like that all the time.
