Do you watch Korean dramas?

Asked by squirbel (4297points) December 2nd, 2010

I first fell in love with these last year. My 16 year love affair with anime dissolved in the weeks that passed, and I feel much less motivated to watch them. Korean dramas, if you aren’t familiar, are just Korean TV shows. But they share with us! Isn’t that nice of them?

I never gave more than twenty hours a year to my TV before – but now it is assured because the plots and characters are so much richer than American shows.

Going to start watching?

Looking for other people who like them as well, fans can take a hike. :) Never liked conversing with folk who were rabid about a topic. hehehe

I am currently watching “The Great Queen Seondeok” [historical drama] and “High Kick Through the Roof” [sitcom]. I finished maybe like 25 series.

What are you watching?

My Chinese high school kids like them. One girl is in love with a Korean star named Jeremy-so much so she wants her name to be Jeremy, but I forbid it.

Just finished watching “Baker King, Kim Tak Goo”. Best drama ever watched.

I’ve seen some Korean films, and all of them were kind of messed up. I’ve seen Mother, Oldboy, Service (which may have been Thai actually), and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Just my experience so far.

OMG! My friend is obsessed with Korean Dramas. She talks about them 24/7.
She told me to try and watch kim-sam-‘yoo or something… I will try :)
