What's the best sites to download mp3 for free?

I need to download tons of songs. and I’d like it free of charge.
There are many sites on the web, but I couldn’t find that’s for free.

If you go to creativecommons.com, there are links to sites where artists have agreed to free or donation based downloads. You can also get free downloads on amazon.com They have a rotating list of music that is free or low cost. Musicians and the industry that supports them earn their livelihood from selling music.

I’m curious as to why “tons” of music? Do you not have a particular taste or preference in music?

Try downloadhelper. It’s a Firefox plug-in that lets you capture any video or audio stream and save it in any format you want, such as MPEG, AVI, or MP3. It’s not entirely free. It’s nagware. Every time you use it, it’ll nag you to pay. But the price is pretty cheap. A couple of dollars, I think…
