How can I connect with smokers or HR directors on the internet?

Asked by easeout (65points) December 15th, 2010

I teach people to stop smoking as a teleconference individually or in companies.

Most of the forums are run by competitors or drug companies that suggest drugs with harmful side effects, so I get really cranky posting on their sites.

Sites like Facebook or Twitter don’t ask if people are smokers.

I need some ideas on how to reach smokers or maybe Human Resource people so I can reach companies that are changing their smoking policy or just want to help smokers stop smoking.

you have to go to steve jobbs and say… every body listens to you…. i know you are very intelligent… can you use your intelligence to… judge whether my stuff works or not…................ if you find that it does…. then… what i have is not smaller than IPHONE or IPAD or Macbook…... so .. help me publicize it…. ..

Eeaseout trust me if your product is good enough . steve jobbs would help you.

So easeout thats what you should do…. if you are sure that your method will pass any test… and you are confident about it… if you are not confident that it will pass this test… then keep working on your product.

I would contact local health departments (many of which have seen funds cut for tobacco prevention and cessation). They may very well be able to help you identify potential HR targets. I would also get on LinkedIn and connect with as many people as possible.

If you are targeting individuals, I would put up posters/signs where people buy cigarettes. In privately owned pharmacies, doctors’ offices, etc. I would contact family practitioners with some kind of special (e.g., you send me 10 paying clients and I will give you coupons for 2 of your less well-off clients to participate in my program).
