Out of Elvis's appoximately 600 recorded songs, which is your favorite and why?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) January 7th, 2011

Sun and RCA Records were the mainstay recording studios for Elvis Presley. Many of his number one hit songs were recorded in Memphis and Nashville, Tn. We all have our favorite Elvis song that we can associate with a good or bad time. Question: what is/was your favorite Elvis Presley song and tell us why?

“Old Shep.” It was the very first song I ever heard him sing. I also love all the songs from “GI Blues.” It was my favorite Elvis movie.

This one. The King looks great here, too.

‘Fever’ is probably the song I like most, but ‘If I Can Dream’ is a song that I share with my family. Play those opening bars in our house and everyone will stop what they are doing to sing along passionately. It’s my favourite.

@jazmina88 That is one of my favorite songs. (I love your Australian shepherd photo BTW.) I also love Suspicious Minds.

Possibly Hound Dog; not sure . Jailhouse Rock was great, too.

Oh gosh, that’s a hard one, JP. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a song of his that I didn’t like. But I would have to say “If I Can Dream” because of its inspirational message, and because it shows the humanitarian side of his personality.
