When was the last known encyclopedia hardback published and by whom?

Just wondering if they are still being published.

Yes, they are. My library bought a 2010 World Book Encyclopedia.

Not a direct answer to your question, but last year we donated our old Britannica to a nearby elementary school. They were overjoyed to have it and said the third grade teachers would share it “because that’s the year that they teach using the encyclopedia.”

Britannica fifteenth edition (revised) was published 2010. Price £1195

@janbb I Loves the worldbook! – it was my childhood encyclopaedia and I read it over and over again as a little kid – which is why I have no thoughts other than boobs today. Just kidding – I loved it.

@seazen My borhter would sit and read it cover to cover.

As far as I know, all the major ones are still being published.

Actually, as a bubby, she was pretty good. It was as a mother that she failed miserably When my son was having his son and we were talking about what I should be called, he said, ” I want you to be “Bubby” because otherwise Jake won’t have a bubby.”
