How do I add a link to my answer?

Asked by twothecat (394points) February 20th, 2011

Someone already asked this question, but I didn’t understand the answers given. Can someone explain to me in simple moron terms how to add a link to my answers on Fluther?

Take whatever you want to use as the label for the link, such as the word link.

Put that word in quotation marks, followed by a colon, followed by the URL of whatever you are linking to. That’s it.

It should look like this, but with no spaces. (I can’t show you or it will make a link.):

” link ” : http://www.fluther.com

Have a look at this page http://www.fluther.com/help/formatting/ that explains it as well as all the ways you can format your text.

@Lightlyseared

Do you recall (or know offhand) the formatting technique that forces the text into a monospaced courier font?

Hello WasCy is this what you mean?
