Hated : Id have to agree with Jar Jar binks. Ahsoka is up there too.

Beloved…. there are too many. A few would be Batman obviously, Spiderman, and Arthur Dent, Jimmie James from News Radio, and Raoul Duke

It becomes very clear by my list that I am a nerd lol.

Beloved – The Doctor

Hated? sorry, too busy thinking about the T.A.R.D.I.S.

seazen_'s avatar

@uberbatman You and me both nerdies. I wanted to add the new Iron Man…

El_Cadejo's avatar

@seazen_ I loved what they did with Iron Man in the movies. Though it cant compare with portrayal of him in cartoon tv series. Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man is bad ass :P

Beloved- Dorothy, Wizard of Oz

Hated- Diane, Cheers

@uberbatman Hate to turn the thread into a personal chat – but you are again correct. I do like how Robert D. portrayed, nay, interpreted his nuances.

Beloved (in no particular order):
Julie Andrews’s Maria from the Sound of Music
Ralph Waite’s Pa Walton
Robert Reed’s Mike Brady from the Brady Bunch
Jack Haley’s Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz
Ray Bolger’s Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz
Don Adam’s Maxwell Smart from Get Smart
Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka
Shirley Temple’s Heidi
David Hyde Pierce’s Niles from Frasier
David McCallum’s Ducky from NCIS
Leonard Nimoy’s Spock from Star Trek
James Doohan’s Scotty from Star Trek
Michael Landon’s Pa Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie
Alan Hale Jr.‘s Skipper on Gilligan’s Island
Gary Burghoff’s Radar O’Reilly on M*A*S*H
Barbara Billingsley’s June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver
(and you knew I had to add these last 3 because I LOVE them: Fran Drescher and Charles Shaughnessy from The Nanny and Alan Rickman from Sense and Sensibility)

I don’t think I could muster up any hate, but I don’t care for:
Matthew Gray Gubler on Criminal Minds
Patrick Warburton on Rules of Engagement
Jar Jar Binks has to be on this list
John de Lancie’s Q from Star Trek TNG
Keanu Reeves in anything (only because he’s a bad actor, but seems like a nice guy)
Tom Cruise in anything except Risky Business (because he’s a douche bag)
Mel Gibson in anything (because he’s a mean, racist son of a bitch) and I feel terrible for once enjoying some of his movies
Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars 2
Will Ferrell in just about everything (especially Anchorman) except for Blades of Glory which I loved (in everything else he is un-funny)
Amanda Seyfried in Mama Mia
James Spader’s in Pretty in Pink
Robert Romanus’s Mike Damone from Fast Times at Ridgemont High (because he reminds me of Patrick Warburton, only as a teenager)

El_Cadejo's avatar

@seazen_ welll it helps when you get a recovering alcoholic to play Tony Stark :P

@Kardamom impressive list ya got there

Kardamom's avatar

@seazen_ Do you like any of my likes? Or agree with any of my dislikes? This was a good question, because the answers came flooding into my head!

I didn’t add Picard to my beloved list, because he is soooo much more than that. His character on Star Trek is fabulous, his Scrooge is fabulous, his accent is fabulous, he’s a fabulous actor and one hot sexy Brit, so he kind of transcends beloved. Doncha think?

JilltheTooth's avatar

What? Has no one mentioned Cruella DeVil for most hated?
Most loved? Ah, hell, so many I love…

El_Cadejo's avatar

Got another for most hated. The portrayal of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. They took one of my all time favorite literary characters and turned him into a total douche. Like in GoF in the book when Harry’s name comes out Dumbledore calmly asks if Harry put his name in and then believes him, in the movie, he fuckin slams Harry up against a bookshelf and accuses him of putting his name in >_<

Beloved, Buzz Lightyear (film), Andy Sipowicz (tv)

Hated, James Spader played great creep in Less Than Zero, and was victimized by a great creep played by Rob Lowe in Bad Influence; Kramer

@seazen_ Thanks for your input. I was laughing so hard when I saw this post. I’m so glad you gave Don Adams a 5. I always enjoyed the “will they or won’t you scenario” between him and Barbara Feldon (99). They were so cute together. And she had the most wonderful outfits, and he was so sexy in his suits (the brand of which was acknowledged in the credits, but I can’t seem to find right now). My favorite of his three cars (Karmann Ghia, Opal and Sunbeam Spyder) was the first one, the Sunbeam Spyder! Enjoy this cute picture of them

seazen_'s avatar

I am, in real life, a bit like Smart. I think Wundayatta is more 99. Together, we’d make a super agent (my words) and be called 69…?

Kardamom's avatar

@seazen_ Oh lord! Rolls eyes

Kardamom's avatar

@seazen_ Did you like the Get Smart movie with Steve Carrell and Anne Hathaway? I resisted seeing it, because I love Don Adams and Barbara Feldon in those roles so much and I didn’t think I could stomach the movie. But I finally got dragged to see it, and I totally fell in love with them as a couple, even though I didn’t think they were very similar to the original Max and 99. I hate Steve Carrell’s character on the office (it’s too realistic and close to home and often makes me want to cry) but I think he’s a real cutie and a sweetie (and not a doofus) in the Get Smart movie and I felt great chemistry between him and Anne Hathaway. I was surprised to find that something so different, could also be good.

seazen_'s avatar

Yes, very much.

Oh, what I’d give for a little chem with Hathaway…

Kardamom's avatar

@seazen_ Did you see Anne Hathaway with James MacAvoy in Becoming Jane? That was a terrific movie, and both of them are hotties, see JM here

JilltheTooth's avatar

@Kardamom : I just got that on DVD, haven’t seen it, yet. Thanks for the quick review, I’ll watch it tomorrow!

Who I love in movies; Michael Myers. The ever returning killer without a soul, his robotic demeanor will destroy your sanity if he doesn’t kill you first. A killing machine with eyes darker than middle night, the Devil Himself trembles at the thought of seeing what lies behind the mask. (Actually his hair kinda looks like an Elvis Presley hairdoo.)

Icabod Craine In a time where society was dark, cruel and primitive, there came a man who was ahead of his time. He valued life, and as such, had made to rise pathology several echelons higher. (Man that’s so gawth) But much before this, he was ridiculed and mocked for his ideals, and was sent to the town of Sleepy Hollow to ’‘investigate’’ a series of brutal murders, all involving decapitation. Little did he know that science would not help him as much as his bravery and wit. He found love, he met ghosts, and carved a buncha dead bodies open. He’s also an hero.

Bub the zombie from Day of the Dead. A tear always comes to my eye when he realizes that his master is gone, and he mourns him, by having a fit, wailing and clanging his chains all over the place…and exacts revenge.
If that’s not typical enough a zombie though, I most certainly love every other film zombie ever.

Who I hate in movies; Those three bastards from the original I Spit on Your Grave. They’re not only mean, they’re borderline mentally retarded. Also, those dumbass students from Cannibal Holocaust who terrorize the cannibals by setting their houses on fire, mutilating wild life and raping random women. ...they sure got theirs, though.

Bombata from Conan the Destroyer. Filthy traitor to the end. He’s actually pretty funny, but I was glad he got what was comin’.

Mademoiselle from Martyrs. Not entirely sure how much more cruel anyone could ever be.

From TV

Moe Sizlack. My favourite Simpsons character ever, he kinda reminds me of me! But eh he cracks me up every single time. I kind disliked how he went from ’‘funny grouch’’ to serious emo as the series chugged along, but he still rocks.

Callisto. A villain from the Xena Warrior Princess series, she became the enraged and insane warlord due to Xena’s past…Xena was once a merciless warlord herself, and razed Callisto’s village when the latter was but a child. Callisto grew up wanting only one thing; the death of Xena, going so far as to become a goddess to do it. Also, man can she scream

Gabrielle, again from Xena. You have no heart if you can’t love her. That’s all.

Characters I hate on TV

Everyone in Full House.

Every single Pokemon that has ever existed. It makes me sick. I don’t understand why people like this.

Nephrite from the first series of Sailormoon. He’s 34 and dating a 13 year old girl. Really? Damn man, what tact.

Berserker's avatar

No, I’ve seen that before, I’m not clicking it! :p

El_Cadejo's avatar

@Symbeline im getting a mudkips tomorrow, or well the animal in which its based off of.

Berserker's avatar

Was Muddy Mudskipper a…whatever that is?

El_Cadejo's avatar

@Symbeline no, thats an axolotl, a mudskipper is a different animal. Axolotl are salamanders, mudskippers are amphibious fish. I used to have one of them as well, interesting creatures.
