How do you switch your emails to another email client?

Asked by flo (13313points) August 24th, 2011

Automatically I mean. Let’s say from yahoo to gmail or vice versa. One of them used to invite its users to transfer from (edited) other email clients.

@flo Any clue on which to which? Most of the clients will have a way to forward emails from your previous account to your new account and to import your contacts. It should be on that email client’s help page, e.g. this is Google’s gmail help on making the transition to a gmail account. If you want to switch to yahoo they should have similar information in their help.

@lillycoyote Sorry I had to sign out fast there.
By the way have you ever had a red hightlight go on the letters you typed in the TO fileld just because you hit the space bar? And then if you back space it highlights in grey and then it disapppears.

@flo are you talking about emails?

@lillycoyote yes. It is about the new version of Yahoo Mail. The first I’ve heard of it.

@flo I have a yahoo account but I really don’t use it that much, really at all but I got it along time ago and I really like my yahoo mail address so I keep it. Anyway, I’ve been seeing stuff on the internet about it and there are instructions, like this for changing it back to the way it was, to “yahoo classic” if you want to but other than that I don’t know much about yahoo mail or any of the other services.

I wondered if it is virus related. Thanks @lillycoyote.
