What was the link between Napoleon's career/political life and the French Revolution?

Asked by lawlz (19points) November 7th, 2011

I’m having a bit of trouble finding lots of information on this subject. I need to research the link between his career and the revolution. If anyone can help me I’d really appreciate it thanks.

Sounds like homework. Check Robert Asprey’s book on Napolean’s early years out of the library. It should tell you most of what you need to know.

I’m going to go with, how he became Emperor, the exact opposite of any Revolutionary and Republican ideals…

He was a military and political leader at the time.

Then he was all “yo, fuck this Liberté, égalité, fraternité shit, Imma show you guys how to do things”, and got himself the title of Emperor.

Are you kidding? He features prominently in the French Revolution. I should also ask ‘which Revolution?’ – there were many…if you mean Napoleon Bonaparte the first, so to speak, and the French Revolution of the late 18th century, here’s help.
