Do some people just "seem" to have an aura of good luck around them?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) February 6th, 2012

This may seem a little on the stupid side, but when my wife and I go to a casino, I can tell if she is going to have a winning night. She just seems to have a good luck aura that surrounds her. It’s kind of like when a woman is pregnant…...she just glows with good health. Question: do some people just “seem” to have an aura of good luck that surrounds them or am I just daydreaming?

some people do. those that do are born with it and will have it in this life only.

Do you mean “aura”?

It’s called optimism. Not good luck.

Yes, my sister is very lucky. She has won dozens of contests. People give her things. And when I mean things I mean like winter coats, horses, cars.

@marinelife: What would trigger anyone to give anyone else a horse? Does your sister have a collection of them?

marinelife's avatar

@gailcalled My sister rides dressage and trains horses. She has been given several horses.

Aha. So she already has the barn, the feed and the stable boy.

I’m not sure I’d call it an aura, but I have known people who seem to lead charmed lives. Not sure if it’s luck or if they just have unassailable optimism that draws good things towards them.
