I have a master backup folder on an external drive, if that’s what you mean.

I’m going to assume you mean back-up.

1st 6 Gigabit SATA port is a 128 gig M4 SSD. <—For OS X and apps.
2nd 6 Gigabit SATA port is a 1.5TB HDD <—Users folder
1st 3 Gigabit SATA port is a sony optical DVD drive.
2nd 3 Gigabit SATA port is another M4 that is a clone of the boot drive.
3rd 3 Gigabit SATA port is a clone of the drive with the users folder.
4th 3 Gigabit SATA port is 500gig HDD with two bootable partitions for Windows 7 and Ubuntu.

Cloning the drives occurs nightly at 8am since I usually wake up at noon. The Windows/Ubuntu drive doesn’t get cloned since 99% of the time I am in OS X.

And yes, I use a Hackintosh.

Thanks for your answers, is great to know that you backup all your files, videos , etc. I’m very sorry but what i meant was PLAY, how often do you play video files on your laptop ? And which type of videos are they ? Are they your own videos from your cam, documentary or something ?

Ah, I see!
Despite hoarding a fair few clips over the years, I don’t think I’ve cracked open My Videos in a very long time.
