Which is the most useful Microsoft forum?

Asked by 2davidc8 (10189points) November 17th, 2012

Yes, I know this was asked over 3 years ago. I’m wondering if there are any updates. A lot could have changed in 3 years.

What do you think is the most useful Microsoft forum? I’m looking for a forum where Windows 7 and Office tips and tricks and helpful hints are discussed and members help each other and don’t insult each other.

Thank you.

For friendly and nerdy it is hard to beat ARS.

Microsoft OS & Software Colloquium
Windows Technical Mojo

ARS is good, but sometimes going straight to the source can be useful as well.

You can also try the Tech Guy site. They’ve been around for quite awhile and it’s a mature community of users with a Fluther-like feel to it.

People over there are really friendly and they don’t allow any insults or flaming crap. The site has won numerous awards over the years and been on many “BEST OF” type lists.

Or their alternate address, easier to remember:

@johnpowell @jerv @Buttonstc Thank you for these suggestions, and for your opinions of them! I’ll try them!

Perhaps not precisely what you are looking for, but I have used the forums on www.mrexcel.com for at least ten years when I needed help with something in Excel.

Very helpful bunch. Might be a little too technical occasionally but people do try to help solve a problem.

@srmorgan Good to know. Thanks!
