NSFW (maybe). For men: Would this hinder or help?

For men that are body building. Would masturbation, or of course sex, help, before you work out, or would it weaken your strength?

I mean right before a workout.

I’m thinking ‘during’ would be best (or at least the most interesting).

@Headhurts Personally, I limit myself to right before, during, right after a workout or else completely independent of a workout, even on days I miss my exercise routine. Like I say, who cares how it affects the workout so long as I stay buff enough to do my stuff.

Not that I work out or have any motivation to do such….. I feel like if I had sex prior I’d lack all motivation to excercise and would rather just sleep :P

@uberbatman thank you for that.

Most likely any effect will be to diminish your strength or at least your focus.
Taoists would encourage to lose your juice as seldom as possible in order to build up chi.
At some point you have to balance that goal with easing the pressures that occur when not losing your juice, i.e. no sense getting crazy about it.

@dabbler so it best if a man masturbates or has sex before he lifts weights?

No, I would not think before is a good idea, unless this is what you want: “diminish your strength or at least your focus”.

@dabbler Great, thank you very much.

What are the benefits of masturbating, may I ask?

Come on, man. Nobody saw ‘Rocky’ ??

Burgess Meredith said it all: “Women weaken legs…”

Kill two birds with one stone by having a lover much larger than you…you’ll feel like you’ve been lifting weights, trust me.
