Who's the classic cartoon character that exits a scene by kind of shooting the ground and hopping on his way out?

I thought it was Yosemite Sam, but it doesn’t seem like the right fit. He does kind of a “yippie kai yay” thing, too, if memory serves.

Ugh, this question is bothering me. I feel like I should know it, but I can’t come up with any answer other than Yosemite Sam. I swear I’ve seen a cartoon where he pretty much uses his guns for locomotion…
