Has anyone seen "Jobs" yet?

Asked by Coloma (47193points) August 16th, 2013

Saw it today, really liked it, inspite of some not so great reviews.
Thought all the characters were an amazingly good fit, dead on with the real life comparison photos at the end of the film.
I am biased of course, having the same personality type as Steve Jobs, only in a womans body. haha

Just curious for your opinions on the film if you have seen it yet?

Is that the new movie about Linda Lovelace?

^^^ Haha…uh, no. It is about Steve Jobs, founder of Apple computers, but you already know that!

I’ve seen it. It was really deep throated. : )

No I’m just about to see it tomorrow. Reading the book by Isaacson now as recommended to me here by jellies. Seems another movie could be in the works and the script might be written by Aaron Sorkin.

@mazingerz88 Yeah, I hear Sorkins version is supposed to be better…but nothing to compare to yet. :-)

Sorkin’s version I have no doubt will be most interesting. But I would still enjoy this Jobs movie I’m sure since their story, Jobs and Wozniak’s, was really fun and magical to me.

@uberbatman Yeah, I read all the reviews but I beleive we’ve gotta make up our own minds.
I thought it was pretty good, not amazing, but good, kept my attention and the cast and acting was good.
Of course I am partial, being of that generation, so it was a must see for me.

Pirates of Silicone Valley is an interesting movie. I’m having a hard time picturing Kutcher as Jobs. He may look the part, but always sounds like Kelsoe (from “That 70’s Show) or the guy in Dude, Where’s My Car to me.

Every time a new movie comes out, I click in the Google search bar to type “Roger Ebert review [X]” and then get sad :(

I have not seen Jobs and it is unlikely that I will. I haven’t been to the movie theater in over a year. Most of the films that I have seen recently have been out for quite a while.

@muppetish – We do that, too.

@gorillapaws – I haven’t watched that since it first aired.
