Hi @ShadowHill
Welcome to the pod! :-)
If you click on the users avatar and scroll down you can see their “greatest Q’s/answers which will show a date or say “3 months ago, 2 months ago..etc.” However…those answers may not be the one you are looking for in the Q. at hand.

Depends on if it was given adequate lurve points to show up. Hit and miss but that is one way to try and get a handle on when the last responses were posted.

You can also find out by hovering your mouse just to the right of the “Flag as” icon at the bottom of the post. A previously hidden icon will pop up, and if you hover on that the time of the post will appear.

see my name at the bottom of my post, now look to the right where the flag as… is. hover the mouse over that and you’ll get a little ¶ . If you hold the mouse over that it will say when the person posted.

ohh, to add @ShadowHill if you click on the ¶ you can use the new address that pops in your address bar to link to a specific answer. like http://www.fluther.com/163084/when-answering-an-old-thread-where-is-the-date-for-the/#quip2785128

The name for the “previously hidden icon” ¶ is “a pilcrow” (you may also know it as “a paragraph mark” that editors and English grammar teachers use).

As others have noted, simply hovering your cursor over the pilcrow will enable a floating context memo that will carry the date of the posting (if it was more than a day ago), or the hours / minutes / seconds since the post was submitted.
