Total GRE score?

Asked by kladderama (20points) January 10th, 2014

Hi, I want to apply for a graduate program. In the application form is a field called “Total GRE Score”. I don’t know what it is I am supposed to write in there. I got 146 on the verbal section, 169 on the quantitative section and 2.5 on the analytic section. I doubt that the Total GRE Score they want to know is 317.5, because then the analytic section would be weighted wrongly. So what is it they want me to write in there?

If it is a free text field, enter it as 146V/169Q/2.5A.

Otherwise pick up the phone and call them.

It may be an outdated form, I only remember 2 parts when I took it 25 years ago. I’d call the Admissions office and ask.

I believe they want you to put the verbal and the quant together..
