How stupid is too stupid to reproduce?

Asked by Adirondackwannabe (36713points) April 13th, 2014

Is there a certain level of stupidity at which people wouldn’t reproduce? I met a lot of pioneers in researching this today. I had to go to Walmart and it was a really great day out. And the woodchucks were out in droves. Obese father, obese mother, and obese kids, all completely blocking the aisles. And they wouldn’t move. I had to ask them to let me through. It was so annoying. I just wanted to put my head down and charge them with the cart, but I’d just bounce off. Or they stand in the middle of the aisle yakking on their cell phones. I hate inconsiderate people.

If you are on welfare and get preggers you are too stupid to have a child.

If you think Cheetos count as a serving of cheese, or fast food is a go to meal for you… Please don’t procreate.

If you never read, from magazines to newspapers to Internet blogs or <gasp> books, then please at least read the directions on the box of condoms.

If you put up with or subject others to abuse of any kind, you are too stupid to have children.

Know before you grow…

Too stupid to reproduce is when the participants are unable to make the connections and cannot fit the parts together.

Sadly, one answer is “too stupid to use contraceptives”.

IF you can’t put the kid’s needs ahead of your own or incapable of nurturing or loving them.

Not so related, but I also hate people in aisles taking up all the room. I hate how they think the stores belong to them, and they don’t watch where they’re going, they don’t look around, they leave their carts in the middle of the aisle and go seven miles off to go check out two types of spaghetti sauce for 13 hours. My GOD I cannot stand this type of inconsiderate behavior. Take your cart with you, next time I see an unattended cart blocking my way, I’m knocking it over.

I do my best to mind others when I’m shopping. I keep my cart near me and out of people’s ways, I look where I go, I look to the sides and I slow down near corners. Some people often almost bump into me, and if I wasn’t such a ninja and able to evade them, I swear some of them would. I do my best, I wish others would do it to me, too.

This applies for sidewalks as well. Say like three or four people walking really slowly, side by side, probably discussing on how rude people who swear are haha. Always have to ask them to move, or I step in the street or someone’s lawn to get by. Some jerk bags out there need to realize that there are other people around them. Kind of like you, while shopping, sometimes I want to charge them too…I wish I could attach those locomotive dust things in the front of my cart, and anyone who’s not paying attention, well too bad.

@Symbeline Those are called cow catchers where I’m from. I think they would be very fitting on the front of the carts at Walmart.

Aye, cow catchers, that be the word. I want em on my carts. My Viking self shall do the rest of the work.

Sadly, as you observed at Walmart today, @Adirondackwannabe, there appears to be no base line for ‘too stupid to reproduce’.

Sex should be more like a video game: achieving levels and rewards. Everyone could still play, but actually creating a new player would be a high level.

@Symbeline @Adirondackwannabe I avoid Wal-Mart like the plague. Not only are they the largest purveyor of Chinese goods, but the sweat-pants, the 400lb’ers, the screaming kids, it’s just too much for me. And my car got hit in the parking lot once, too. I’m out…lol

Berserker's avatar

Personally I wasn’t even talking about Wal Mart. Just grocery shopping in general.

Harsh. I avoid Wal-Mart because they treat their workers poorly, not because non-telepathic overweight people shop there. ”...too stupid to reproduce…” Hmmmmm… maybe someone so lacking in compassion that I shudder to think what they teach their children about judging before they have all the facts could fit into that designation.

I’m not sure if I’d consider who should have children or not based upon IQ alone. Moral and maturity factors, including the ability to both emphasize and sympathize with the pain of others, are more important to me. Not all intelligent people are spiritual (in an ethical sense), and many so-called ‘dumb’ people are very spiritual and mature in my opinion.

In my opinion if one does not have the moral character along with maturity and wisdom to raise decent children, then IQ does not mean much to me. From my experiences children usually reflect the behavior patterns of their parent/s, but sometimes a jewel still comes out of the womb regardless and does not repeat the negative cycle.
