Are video recruitment agencies worth the investment?

Asked by JadenSencer (1points) October 17th, 2014

My sales company have been considering using a video recruitment agency so we could see what the candidates are like in person before hand (confidence, personality). Based on your experiences would you say they are worth the investment, if so who would you recommend I use?

Who pays for the video interview? If you do and you think it’s worthwhile, then hey why not.
If the candidate pays for the video interview then you will get a self-selecting group of candidates who can afford it.

I know you’d give up the ‘before hand’ aspect of video interviews, but why not interview people with Skype? Actual live interaction can tell you more than a canned interview, and the candidate gets to meet you too. Win-win.
