Picasso paintings and Damien Hirst sculptures don’t come in packages. Things like that are the real collectibles of the ultra rich.

I’m pretty sure collectors don’t play with toys. To be ultra rich, you do have to be some kind of adult, and most don’t play with toys. And for a lot of rare collectibles, they lose value if you destroy the packaging.
Although having said that, I wonder how many video game and movie collectors take super expensive games or movies out of boxes to use them.

Depends on the thing. If they do, and they want to maintain it’s value, they might hold the item with gloves. Things like limited Barbies are worth more in sealed packaging I think. Statues, numbered perfume bottles, are often put out for display, but not handled much. Being rich is irrelevant.
