Do you see lot of ads while accessing this site?

I stay logged in on both desktop and mobile but if you are not or not a member, you will see ads. It’s some of the revenue.

If you see ads on Fluther, you are either not logged in or you have adware on your computer.

Yes..I noticed that..after logging in they are not appearing. But they weren’t before I guess.

It pays the bills for the upkeep but us members often don’t realize because we don’t see them. Keeping the site up is not charity, it’s a business.

^^Yeah..I totally agree..l’m not sure but they weren’t appearing before. Only started seeing ( noticing may be?) them after recent slowness issues that’s why I was curious if it had any connection with that?

No there have always been ads for logged out users. You are probably just used to what the site looks like when you’re logged in.

Every once in a while, apparently randomly, Fluther logs you out. I have no idea why but once I start seeing ads I realize that it’s time to do the name/password thing again and all is well again. Like magic :)
