What did you think about the passion of the christ?

Asked by wrestlemaniac (810points) August 9th, 2008

I thought it well, the only reason i cried was because of the waste of money i spent to see it! it was just whip, whip, whip, even Jesus would tell us that is not what happened!!!

I loved the fact parents took their little kids to what was a fantastically horrific movie. Probably scared them for life and they’ll end up as torturing people.

Never saw it, never will. I like to keep my propaganda consumption to a minimum.

I though it was a powerful and brave…..documentary? Docudrama?

wrestlemaniac's avatar

Neither who was the brave one Christ or the roman??!!?

mee_ouch's avatar

Anybody that does something that’s going to piss off a majority are either brave or foolhardy….
Perhaps I should’ve stated that earlier.

I don’t know how to spell the raspberries sound…

mee_ouch's avatar

Hey ‘loser’ it’s a lot easier to ‘flip ‘em off’ than to ‘fruit ‘em off’!

Sometimes they just come ‘spillin’ out..

Better than Mel Gibson is Dino Delaurentis.

mee_ouch's avatar

Yeah dc,
Those Sicilian/Italian movie producer/directors must be looking over their shoulders all the time. I doubt it though. ‘The Boys’ have too much respect and a lot more ‘investments’ in the “industry”

Like God Father stuff?

I stayed away. I came to the conclusion (whether fair or not) based on clips and coverage that it was an extended homage to sadism and brutality. Not matter how beautifully filmed, I have not interest in high definition, full color pain and suffering.

Only film I’ve ever had to show ID to get into… I saw it on my twentieth birthday.

dc,
Yes. Although I can’t and don’t have the right to judge. I have read a great deal with regards to power shifts/struggles of many types and history suggests there is a very strong influence and much respect for certain factions.

It showed reality of how Jesus Christ died for my and world’s sins. Those who choose to look the other way are denying they have sinned and thus make God a lier in their hearts. Those people deny to not be acountable for their actions, basically ‘do as you please because there’s no consequences’.

syz's avatar

The reality of Christs death as told by Mel Gibson?!? Was he there?

seVen's avatar

No, reality of Christ Jesus was written in the Holy Bible by the inspiration of God through his chosen people.
Mel made this part of scripture into a motion picture.

mee_ouch's avatar

wrestlemaniac's avatar
