Trump has started name calling with North Korea's leader. What's next?

Asked by jca (36062points) September 17th, 2017

It’s in the news today Trump is calling Kim Jong Un “Rocket Man.”

Can things get any less diplomatic?

Does this surprise you?
Neither of them have a diplomatic bone in their body.
Both are acting like school yard bullies for their side of the sand box, the only problem with these two idiots (and YES both are idiots, sorry if that upsets anyone) it could cost a lot of people their lives if it gets much worse.

I’ve said it before. They should put the pair of them in a sandpit somewhere and let them slug it out.

With Kim Jong-Un’s obvious intention of world domination through nuclear intimidation/threat, something drastic will have to be done to end the situation, end the war once and for all, before it can become cataclysmic. (An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.)
Name calling is meaningless.

Trump thinks that remark was funny. I agree with him in an immature, sick way. The fact that he’d say it is so indicative of how childish his mind works.

When it comes to empty blustering, we now have an exquisitely matched pair. Let them bark away at one another til they both grow hoarse.

Could the name calling be a substitute for military action? If that is the case, let him keep engaging in his playground behavior.

He referred to Lyin’ Ted, Crooked Hillary, Low Energy Jeb, and Little Marco.
You didn’t expect this?

We’ll never know if Trump could be a decent president or not, as the left has stymied him at every turn. I can’t imagine being in his place and being made so ineffective without being incredibly frustrated and angry…but I do know that the little freak in North Korea is NOT a good leader. I would be happier if Trump goads him into doing something we can see coming and be prepared for, rather than to wait for a time when he launches a totally unprovoked attack that catches us with our pants down.
Anyone who believes he does not intend to launch nukes is a fool- he is working himself up, preparing his hardware and basically getting himself into a frenzy, with that goal in mind. Why else would he be doing what he is doing?
I do not believe for one moment that China will go to nuclear war over this little freak of a human being- he needs to be stopped, before something truly terrible happens.
I’m neutral on Trump, but I do wish he would close his Twitter account and think before he lashes out verbally.

And for the record, nobody thought Elton was an idiot for calling HIMSELF rocketman…what’s the big deal?
