We’re watching the Wizard of Oz, and I’m wondering if there’s any truth to the story about the difficulty they had filming the movie due to the fact that the little actors playing the munchkins were so busy coupling up?

The story goes that the opportunity was just too juicy to resist for several of them

The last munchkin to die seemed to have said that sadly Garland’s personal problems which included drinking led to making unfortunate statements which were untrue.

I read this book link 25 years ago; sort of the behind-the-scenes history. I seem to remember that you’re right about the munchkin escapades. But read the book.

I have no doubt that it is true. There were so many, and they caused problems like unruly children constantly.

As far as I was told, it is all nonsense, based on prejudice against midgets.

I’ve heard the story about trying to corral a hundred drunken midgets, but I honestly think that trying to get at the truth of just about anything related to Hollywood is pretty much a lost cause. The false stories may even be truer than the factual ones.

I never heard that.
I read somewhere that Judy was sexually harassed by a producer or something.
