I can’t tell if the bug is sitting on someone’s leg or in the bend of an arm. I’m trying to gauge the size of the thing, and the image isn’t distinct enough for a guess. I’m more interested in the rather remarkable self control of whomever allows a spider to trespass on their skin while patiently awaiting a photograph. Were it my own arm or leg, there would be no difficulty in my cataloging It. It would be a DEAD spider before I had time to consider its lineage.

That is definitely on the inside bend of the arm. That spider is slightly larger than a fingernail. I see these spiders often around here in Memphis. They’re something more to brush off than kill. But I wouldn’t waste any time photographing it.

In order to rule out a venomous arachnid, I would need to know the region. Yes, scale is difficult to tell, and the abdomen is not pictured clearly. I can only appreciate four, or five limbs. It could be a tick, for all I can tell…

It’s definitely a very tiny male spider. If you could give us more information, it would help to narrow it down.

My gut says it spins webs (maybe an orb weaver) rather than chasing down its food, such as a jumping spider or a wolf spider does. It’s also lost so many legs, it probably didn’t survive.

looks like a tiny yellow/black orb weaver spider. Probably a baby.
