Strange that this was in my Questions for you
I mean, c’mon :D

Dutchess_III's avatar

That’s kind of funny that you asked that question. I heard Aerosmith’s “Don’t want to close my eyes,” the other day, and I have finally come to the conclusion that it is the coolest love song ever. It simply involves emotionally loving her, period.

I’m not female. So. I guess I shouldn’t reply.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Umm. I am not good at playing the favorite game. But. I guess I’d say “I wanna know.” By Joe…

There are plenty of others.

Maybe Patsy Cline’s “Crazy, over you.”

Forgot about the BeeGees and more BeeGees

MrGrimm888's avatar

Ah. Yes. The Beegees.

I’m not a big fan of ballads but two that I can think of right off the bat are “Sarah Smile” by Hall and Oates and “If you leave me now” by Chicago.

^ Two good ones!!! :)

Not intended for anyone in particular: Just want opinions on this one.

@RabidWolf It’s not very romantic, more of a pitiful plaint. The singer is asking for a pity fuck.

LadyMarissa's avatar

@RabidWolf I like that one. It means something to those who have NEVER truly been loved!!!

I did things in my past that I’m sure I’ll answer for when I go to face the Almighty. I did them because I really didn’t want any strings attached. But my heart had other plans, and so did her’s. I was ready to become the step-father to one woman’s two beautiful girls. Yeah spend the rest of my life with their mother To love her forever, to protect her, and do the things that would always show her my love was for real. They say love is different each time around. Only the two people experiencing the emotion can define what they feel. What started off as my attempt to ditch the goodie-two-shoes way of life grew into something that knocked me on my ass. I see this song as saying: Show me what love is like with you because it’s always different.

Here’s another song for the ladies to give an opinion on.

Enjoy.

Sex again @RabidWolf. I’d much rather hear a song about me, my heart, my spirit, and not my vagina.

MrGrimm888's avatar

The heart, and vagina, are both human organs. What’s the difference between a song about a human organ?

And, there’s no proof that a spirit exists…

If a spirit exists, that kinda means that a deity exists. If that exists, it kinda means it created human beings. Approximately half of us, are male. Males are therefore programed, to need/want sex. Hating a male’s desire/value of sex, is is like males hating a female not desiring/valuing sex…

Dutchess_III's avatar

My essence, then. I really don’t appreciate songs that celebrate men’s orgasms being passed off as love songs that pretend to celebrate your woman. That’s why I love Aerosmith’s, “Don’t wanna close my eyes.” That’s my favorite love song.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Aerosmith, didn’t write that song.
Good execution though…
Solid song…

When a man loves a woman, he wants to make love to her. Is that SO wrong?..

It’s not necessarily about the man getting off. It’s about being one with her.

It’s about being desired. It’s about love. Personally,(I won’t speak for all men,) it’s about being with her. Being a part of her. A connection, to the woman you love. A sort of confirmation, that she loves you back. An acceptance of sorts…

I want to be a part of her. Always…

Being rejected, means that she doesn’t want me. That hurts me… It makes me feel like she wants someone else…

It hurts my heart. It hurts our relationship…

I’m sorry that it upsets you, that a man who loves you, wants you…

You are likely pushing away, from someone that loves you.

Men, are generally simple creatures… We ultimately want to hook up with the females we like…

Punish us, if you must.
But, you’re pushing away love.

Love, is a rare thing…
When a man loves a woman, he is drawn to her, by forces he can’t explain…

As such, a love song, may contain things, you don’t understand.

Yes. There are men, who manipulate, and do bad things…

But. There are some of us, that are in love…And we don’t know how to handle it….

Dutchess_III's avatar

It doesn’t upset me that some guy wants to have sex with me. It’s the damned obsession with sex that upsets me. It’s because virtually everything I did when I was younger was viewed as a come on by whatever guy happened to see me. They want to blame their horniess on me. I made them horny and I did it on purpose.

SEKA's avatar

My vagina never felt threatened in listening to any of these songs. I did feel a man so deeply in love that he wanted to please his woman. Some just can’t relate

Dutchess_III's avatar

I don’t feel threatened by the songs. I have felt threatened by some men. The songs are just songs about how good sex feels for the men.
And I have been in love, and men have been truly in love with me. For the men, sex, of course, was at the #1 forefront of that “love,” for the me. It wasn’t first for me.

MrGrimm888's avatar

Sex, is different from making love…
I’m sorry, that some men, are assholes. Some of us, genuinely need to be with the woman we love. And yes @SEKA .It’s not all about us. I enjoy making my girlfriend, feel good. And I enjoy being one with her…

I’ve since changed mine to this

MrGrimm888's avatar

There you have it. ...

RabidWolf's avatar

I’m country all the way most of the time. But here’s another song for the ladies to give their input on.

@RabidWolf -I swear I do not love that love song.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@SEKA- No. It needs more cowbell.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I do not like that love song either. Getting married, being “rescued,” was not my dream growing up.

SEKA's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille I never thought about asking my husband to wear a cowbell. Damnit, now I’ve got to go to the store HA HA HA

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@SEKA- It makes them easy to find at Home Depot. Lol
