When filing the fingernails of your dominant hand, do you move the file against the nail, or move the nail against the file.

Asked by josie (30934points) February 5th, 2020

I can’t seem to control the file very well with my left hand, so I wind up moving my right hand against the file.
Am I alone with this problem?

My non-dominant hand is paralyzed; so I make a fist, stick the file in the center, & then I move the nails on the dominant hand against the file. I get a better angle this way…you are NOT alone!!!

I don’t file my nails, just chop the whites off altogether. But this question just reminded me that I need to go chop them. It’s been a while.
