Is there a way to get many news subscriptions in one place?

Asked by Ltryptophan (12091points) April 17th, 2020 from iPhone

I want to read the news in as many newspapers as I can, from all around the world. I picked up this habit at 15 in Barnes and Nobles.

If I try to subscribe to all these publishers, it will cost $22k/month.

Is there a service that gets you blanket access to divers publishers?

I find Apple News a fairly good aggregate although it doesn’t have any international papers besides The Guardian.

I’ve gotten it for free on my iPad although it did a bunk last night – not sure what that was about.

I have a yahoo account. I set up my home page, my.yahoo.com and subcribe to many news sources: Reuters, CNN, NPR, BBC, Nature, NY TImes, Scientific American, etc. I get headlines and abbreviated article for free.

I just received an email from my public library announcing a new online benefit for card holders.

Pressreader is a news service that allows access to over 7,000 publications in over 18 languages. Suburban library card holders will have access to it through Saturday, June 13th, 2020. Milwaukee Public Library card holders also have access via the same link. Stay informed with popular periodicals from the Chicago Tribune to Rolling Stone. Access to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is also available.”

Also, I used to read a magazine called World Press Review, which compiled articles from other publications around the world.

I see it has evolved into an online publication. https://www.worldpress.org
