Has anyone used a night brace for the treatment of plantar fasciitis, and can you recommend a manufacturer?

Yes, I had the nasty condition a couple of years ago and the brace did help. It was not the easiest thing to sleep in but it made a difference. I bought mine from the Footsmart catalog

This is the model I bought:

and not only did I find it effective (though it does take weeks I am sorry to say) but it is easy to clean and was sturdy enough to lend to a friend when she got the condition. I tried arch supports (both stretch and wraps) and did NOT find those helpful. I also bought Superfeet inserts and wore them in new, high quality walking shoes. Those helped bring fast relief. I wish you very good luck!

I use plastic heel cups in all shoes (and heavily padded walking shoes – Saucony, Merrills). There are versions (heel cups) of them in the Footsmart catalog altho I get mine from Doc’s. They solved my discomfort overnight.

The catalog has lots of gadgets.

I also use the night brace. I cannot get used to sleeping in it though! I always end up taking it off in the middle of the night. I think it is because I cannot stand to sleep with something on my foot.

I also purchased the molded heel cups. They took some time to get used to but have helped tremendously!
