Inkjet or Laserjet?

Asked by Entropy (4172points) December 31st, 2022

I just bought a new printer and ALMOST by accident bought an inkjet. I hate inkjets because the ink is (or at least was) more expensive than the printer and the things are so prone to jet clogging which often requires buying a new ink cartidge…for approximately the GDP of Russia (ba-dum bump).

So I thought I’d ask…anyone else as anti-inkjet as I am? Or are you the other way? Or not care either way?

Depends what you want to print. Inkjets print photos much better than laser printers. If youre printing text or diagrams then laser is better.

We are also anti-inkjet! In our home all we have now is Canon laser printer. For all the same reasons you have stated. The ink always dried up and by the time you get it unclogged you were out on ink and had to buy more :(

We went laser years ago and never looked back, granted it’s a black and white laser but has no problems with documents and does a good job of black and white photos, and wow is it fast.

You could not give me an ink printer for free. I only have lasers in my office and home.
