How can we keep the mattress pad and sheets from coming off the corners of the bed?

Asked by jkl1231 (4points) September 27th, 2008

After every two or three nights, one corner of the bed is uncovered.

There is a nifty little device somewhat like a bungie cord, except flat, that clips to the corners of the sheet/mattress pad and then goes under the mattress and clips to the mattress pad kitty corner to it. Works great. I’ll see if I can find a link.

Here is link. These aren’t exactly what I use, but very similar.

I use common safety pins, and have had no problems with them.

We tried that, but the mattress pad ripped…

Super glue or rivets, would be my next choices…

The bungie cord type device works well. Also, you might want to purchase sheets with deep corner pockets. That is what worked for me.

Stop jumping on the bed.

Ditto basp. You need sheets made for a thick mattress – check the dimensions before you next buy sheets, especially for fitted bottoms, and you will find a considerable difference in design between brands.

I call those things mattress garters. They have worked well for me in the past. Better quality sheets help too as basp and jeanm mentioned.

Deep-pocket sheets are best… but if you need extra hold-fastness, these have worked well for me in the past. And they’re cheap.
